SkyWire™ Overview    

Asta Technology Group, Inc. introduces the SkyWire™ - Smart Client Toolkit a group of cross platform applications and libraries, designed to allow you to manipulate your Enterprise data from your Palm, PocketPC or Win32 Client securely and get data that is accurate to the second it is requested. Here's how it works:

You install a small footprint SkyWire Server that is reachable over the any tcp/ip based network (including the Internet) and connect it to your Enterprise data. There are examples servers available for Download with full source code with examples using Visual Basic or Delphi. With AstaComServer.dll you can easily build secure servers and use the built in Encryption and Compression options.

You install an application, written with SkyWire™ Component libraries, on your PocketPC or PalmOS client. You can also write Win32 thin client applitions to administer your remote SkyWire™ Server using Visual Basic, Visual C++ or Delphi.

You install an application, written with SkyWire™ Component libraries, on your PocketPC or PalmOS Client.

When away from your desk, or out of the office, you connect your client to the Internet through any device that utilizes tcp/ip such as as 802.11a or a cell modem. Now, you can securely and efficiently transfer data between your Enterprise data and your client - LIVE! Encryption and compression options available.
